Hello MyScentClub fam! Today I’m back with another blog post to make your life easier but first let's talk a little about MY SCENT CLUB.
Here at MY SCENT CLUB we loooooove fragrances, we loooooove smelling great and we looooove helping people access expensive fragrances at a fraction of the price. Without the commitment to a full size bottle or to the price tag attached. We have sourced out 1000 designer fragrances with the intention of adding more, adding a niche line, a premium line (aka Tom Ford, Creed etc) and also eventually offering full size bottle options.
We want to be the place you go to when you want to smell great.
We want to be the place you go to when you remember that fragrance your mom had when you were little or the one you wore as a teenager, that cant be found in stores anymore.
We want to be the place you go to when you want to try a new fragrance for a month before buying the big bottle.
We want to be the place you go to before vacation to stock up on your favourites that are travel friendly.
Joining our club means one less thing you have to go to the mall for and we are the only monthly subscription service of its kind that offers TWO choices. You can choose a daytime and a nighttime, one men's and one women's, one for hot weather and one for cold OR you buy a subscription for a friend. Along the way, we want to help you choose the right fragrance, for the right occasion and how to keep you smelling great longer :)
On the market today there are so many different types of fragrances that sometimes it can make it confusing knowing what to pick. For example, Christian Dior Sauvage is sold in both Eau De Toilette and Eau De Parfum and Bleu De Chanel comes in Eau De Toilette, Eau De Parfum and Parfum. Without knowing the difference you might end up spending the money on something that doesn’t work for you, exactly how you want it to.
So below I have listed the types of fragrances you might find, their fragrance concentrates and what they are perfect for.
Parfum is the strongest of fragrances that you can get, it has a concentrate percentage of 20-30%. For this reason, it’s ideal for when you want your fragrance to last the longest and depending on the scent, it can last between 6-8 hours. Also it can be a better option for winter because your favourite Eau De Toilette that you normally wear in the spring and summer months, will perform better as a Parfum version because it is more concentrated in oils.
Eau De Parfum is next in line for fragrance strength with concentration levels of 15-20%. This can last between 4-5 hours. A little lighter than Parfum and heavier than EDT, it can be used as a multi season fragrance.
Eau De Toilette comes in third for strength. It has a concentration of about 5-15% which is low, compared to the first two. For this reason, EDT tends to be a lower cost option. It’s also light enough to wear all season long, and lasts about 2-3 hours when worn. Although it’s not as expensive as the other options, you might find yourself topping up on it a bit more. However, if you want something lighter and fresher, it’s a great option.
*It is important to remember that Parfum versions are not as easy to source and the price goes up exponentially.*
We hope that this gives you a better idea when choosing your fragrances and to help even more, you can use the promo code FRIEND10 when you refer a friend. YOU can use it and THEY can use it!
You're welcome :)
